In the Studio - September

Wow, September already, doesn't time fly!

Lots of new product lines finally feeding through from Summer Releases with the Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs and the new seasonal mini layering stencils for both Halloween and Christmas with the co-ordinating Sizzix dies to follow shortly. Hero Arts also have some really lovely Christmas stamp sets, some with a vintage feel and some more contemporary which I have also used in a couple of workshops this month. I have made the sample for the gatefold mini book workshop with Prima's new Rossibelle collection which has just arrived but as ever you will have a free choice of papers for this, also, of course, with the Summertime mixed media canvas workshop where I have made the sample with the amazing Heirloom Botanicals from 49 and Market just in from New York.

Important Workshop Information

Before I start with details of the September workshops however I need to share a few Studio changes with you. With effect from 1 September several of our wholesalers are increasing their prices to us by between 9% and 16% which combined with the current weakness of sterling means we are unable to hold our prices at current rates. As our workshops are all inclusive and product heavy, mostly with a free choice of papers, colours etc this impacts significantly on our workshop costs too.

Rather than a straightforward across the board increase we have decided to hold almost all standard workshop prices at current levels, but we are reducing the discount for payment at time of booking from 20% to 10% making a standard 1/2 day workshop £15 on the day or £13.50 with payment at time of booking, and full day workshops starting at £30 on the day or £27 if paid at time of booking. We are also discontinuing Snazzy Workshop Vouchers with those currently in circulation valid until 31 December 2016 - if you are gifting a workshop you will of course be able to buy a normal Snazzys Gift Voucher for this. The prices for our drop in sessions, Croptime, Stop By and Stamp, Art Journal Sunday etc will remain at £5 a session but we will no longer provide adhesive runners or DS tape on the tables, or credit papers, cards and envelopes etc at the till. I am really sorry to do this but as a regular customer at these drop ins has pointed out, our original Tabletime sessions almost 15 years ago were £5 for a 3 hour session which I hope helps put this month's changes into perspective X
